About us

Who are we?

The National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI) is a public administrative establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries. The team is made up of 8 engineers specialized in rural economy agronomists, 2 computer engineers, 1 documentalist and 5 technicians.

Our mission

ONAGRI was created by Decree No. 308 of February 1, 1999, it is responsible for carrying out the following missions:

Establish a reliable information system to analyze the situation of the agriculture and fisheries sector at the national and international levels through relevant, reliable and periodic indicators.
Collect national and international information and data relating to the agriculture and fisheries sector, analyze them, and process them.
Disseminate the information and data collected and make them available to the various stakeholders such as decision-makers, planners, researchers, producers, exporters and others…
www.Onagri.tn is intended for a wide audience, it periodically presents data and information on the sectors (cereals, livestock products, fishery products, olive oil, citrus fruits etc.) the economy ( monitoring of markets, the evolution of foreign trade, investments, production levels, etc.), current topics and recent events relating to the agricultural sector through various publications including working documents, memos analysis, monitoring and economic conditions, sector sheets, etc.

Onagri has a well-stocked documentary base and a statistical database for the development of studies and research on agriculture, water resources and fishing. It also offers a database of legislative texts concerning the JORTAGRI sector. It could thus help decision-making by planners, the establishment of future programs and projects and provide a source of relevant data for researchers, and other economic actors.
